  21. For those interested Raptor3 owners, I just finished installing a Conner IDE
  22. drive in one of my machines. As it turns out, the serial/parallel card has
  23. an IDE controller built in (thanks to Hideaki Nakayama for that info). After
  24. hookup, the BIOS immediately recognized the drive, although no letter was
  25. assigned and NT didn't recognize it. The solution to that problem was to run
  26. the Devices applet in Control Panel. A device called Atdisk needs to have
  27. its Startup option set to "Boot". Following this, the file ATDISK.SYS needs
  28. to be copied from the NT CD-ROM to WINNT35/SYSTEM32/DRIVERS on your system
  29. partition. For some reason this file was already in place, so check first.
  30. After a reboot (may not have been necessary), I ran Disk Administrator and
  31. formatted the now-recognized drive as an NTFS partition. Not bad for a drive
  32. that had been collecting dust!
